Starting on the traction of Communication

The last few months have been manic due to work, we have been flat out busy for Christmas a slow down then we are into spring and easter where it gets even more tempo. so I know its been a while but i have been ferrying away in the back ground.

After my last post I presented the parish council with the issue of the website and they agreed its not visible it does not work for us. So we launched a procurement for design and implementation of the parish brand and website. We have had a lot, some with very small amount bids and many with large quotes, and all around the world. But we found one, a local company called DNA studios.

They have been busy over the last few months developing the brand idea and concept with the idea of simplistic, historic but modern. Working with them i believe has been rather good, as i know the process so i am rather relaxed in how i allow them to get on with the work, so are the council. Also, local companies try and do what is best to boost the local economy as they need business.

My next challenge was emails, but I was in luck. It is a strong recommendation from the Information Commissioners Office and other agencies that Parish councils transfer to a .gov.uk domain for emails. This would be undoubtable a requirement in the near future we was given a list of potential companies that we could use and after much.

Me and the clerk set up the domain address in 48 hours we had the new domain and hosting to create the emails. I have set up all the emails, for the councillors and staff but we will not be going on them until after the may elections. With the new brand we will implement on the emails, within the signature for all to see.
